content unavailable

been playing most of the day yesterday, now theres an update that wont download saying content unavailable and the game wont update lol. anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve?

Still hasn't been fixed for me. Did you figure out how to solve this?

still nothing sadly. tried several things like moving game files no a new drive, uninstalling, moving files back and trying to reinstall but still nothing, even today now that the games out it still wont download.

I am having the same exact issue. I cannot download the game at all, says Corrupt Download/Content Unavailable. I'm hoping it's just the games' download servers.

I just want to play man.

its insane to me that the game is now out and theres still no way for us to download the game

it lets met download about 270 mb of data and then fails everytime with content unavailable message

Yup yup same thing for me. Downloads around 300 MBs then stops and says Corrupt Download. Opened a ticket with steam support

its now downloading for me, had to restart pc just now and its downloading further than before. hopefully works for you too

Ah no such luck for me. I restarted Steam and my PC but still only downloading a little bit then cancelling entirely. I'll retry some more tomorrow.

Hopefully the download finishes for ya and you can play!

Are you using an out-of-date Steam client? Turns out many different games have been having this problem lately and apparently it's due to Valve changing how downloaded files need to be decrypted, which older Steam clients can't do right. I was using an older client, but I refunded my copy of the game before I realized this and then rebought it through Blizzard so I wouldn't risk the same BS. So I don't know if having an up-to-date Steam client will fix the problem but if you're using an older one, try switching to the latest Steam client.

Omg that was it. I had totally forgotten I stopped Steam from updating for some reason a long time ago. Reversed that and updated and yep, game is downloading now.

Same issue, restarted to update the client.

you may need full restart since the game crash will try to corrupt the files on your drive, read/write will be locked until you actually restart your computer. you may also need to repair the installation. game is divided in 4 pieces, 1st one completed crash free, the second one making think of returning the game.
