possible to disable RTX
I don't have a video card that has RTX and I don't know if there is anything that can be done to disable it and play it.

No it's part of the engine's handling of gameplay features, it isn't just handling lighting effects.

You should refund if you aren't going to upgrade your GPU - it only takes a launch crash for you to tick out your refund clock.

It would take a while to upgrade the computer. Do you recommend I ask for a refund? What I don't want to lose is what they give you for reserving the game.

If you're planning to upgrade your GPU then keep it but like others said you can't launch the game, it need a GPU with hardware RT, refund it and find other games suit your hardware.

If you are going to upgrade, keep it.

This would be an amazing game to max out the settings on day 1 with your freshly upgraded rig

When raytracing is forced, you'll also need no less than RTX 4070 card. Ignore the minimum requirements. Its not a turn based rpg that has no real load.

Thanks, yes I will ask for a refund and when the PC improves I will buy it again.

Yeah, although if you are banking on the snazzy features like RT don't buy a 4000 series for the same as/more than a 5000 series. Blackwell benches significantly better here. It isn't a slight difference at the same, even higher quality. NR is a separate topic but the same applies

Edit: removed bench numbers for now, not done yet.

What graphics do you recommend?
For this game? Rtx 50 series. If you can afford it, rtx 5090. If you're on a tighter budget, 5070 or 5070 ti

If someone moves to 50 series, they should also consider that 50 series removed 32-bit PhysX and CUDA support which break all old and not that old games, because there are not much 64-bit physX games out, yet. I'll skip 50 series while my steam library is mostly 32-bit PhysX.
