yeah and this someone is hugo farting
I get it. That's how I felt about platforming in Doom Eternal.
So this is just a little bit of that.
It has bethesda not only attached with the product but also it looks to be that it has more the soul of bethesda than anything id.
Mechanical dragons/shield parry combat\cthulu all speak to this was more of them thinking a bit too much elder scrolls in the design phase than what makes doom well doom...
When your game reminds people too much of other titles than the one on the cover something went wrong imo.
Would have probably been a decent new ip but few companies want to start new ips and run that risk of it not selling so they of course attach it to an old one and hope that the name makes the sales because the content may not.
I remember from my school and university days when a professor would critique a paper and write with that famous red ink that your paper needs more focus and clarity as to what your overall idea is supposed to be.
What is your paper trying to say \ inform the reader about?.
It hurts a title when you say let's go with that idea and someone asks what idea and the directer says all of them....
Throw ALL the ideas into the game.
I would kill for a remake of the first Quake.
