So 2000$ for Doom?
Surely there is a console command or config file option to disable RT, otherwise only the 10 people in the world that own a 5090 would have a good time playing this.

2000$ for turning on google skill and reading up on RT and why it is mandatory? Try it?

no

RTX 5060 got released today i think

Its a PS5 GPU, actually the RTX5060 is better than a PS5 Pro GPU

Yet the card is only 279.99

So u see u can enjoy Doom with RTX and FrameGen for way less than $2000
you don't need 5090 to run doom TDA

Well no, but that's the ploy that Nvidia and Bethesda agreed on, have decent frames with the only card worth mentioning in the 50 series or have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ framerate. It doesn't take a genius or insider info to see that.

Lol at the 30 series handling it well when the 4090 only gets 60 fps. Raytracing adds nothing of value to games in its current state, it's too much of a hog for it to look nice. Generally it's better turned off unless you're just looking at it specifically. I can't say what an AMD card might get, but mine is a 3090.

If the devs haven't made a way to turn it off via the console though then I'm not sure I'd want to buy it on sale even, seeing as that's a good indication that they aren't focusing on good code anymore.

Xbox series x/s and PlayStation 5 can run this game with 60fps… That gives you an idea of how garbage are the PC’s of a huge portion of the steam player base. You don’t need a $2000 pc for this game. You just need a somewhat decent rig that is not an outdated prehistoric piece of trash.

Dude..are you living on Mars? The 3xxx series runs it fine...I have a 5070 Ti and get 90+ fps in the first level native no FG

If you're trying to run 4k on a card two gens old, that's a you problem..NEVER before has a 90 series from 2 gens ago been able to run 4k on new games. 4090 was a beast and when the 6090 comes out guess what? It'll be a 1440p card.

I made a pretty simple statement and asked a simple question, if you don't get it and can't answer it why bother replying? Does it make you butthurt to see someone picking on Nvidia or Bethesda? That is actually a you problem. Games trying to rip off customers is a consumer problem. If you're going to buy the game regardless of that don't sit back and pretend the problem doesn't exist. Buying the game anyway is a perfectly fine thing to do. I just don't feel particularly compelled to buy in with things in the state they are in, even though I've liked the past few games. Generally I hold ID to a higher standard than other devs, but it seems like Bethesda is taking more and more liberties in their process. Then again it pretty much seemed like the Mick Gordan issue was ID being immature, so maybe the studio sucks these days.

Hehe true. :steamfacepalm:
My 4080 super is running it 100+ fps on 4k with frame gen off, There wasn't a single stutter or hitch during my entire first playthrough.
What's it like to be an abjectly poor PC gamer these days?

Same here with a 3090, 21:9 capped the DLSS at 80 FPS but surely could gotten higher. No stutters, crashes or bugs except one enemy trapped in the air. Was kinda funny :D
