Life Sigils not being consumed

Did anyone else encounter a situation in which Life Sigils straight up are not even offered? I have all 3 of them and after receiving death blow I just have to restart from checkpoint.

After you die, you are hitting the button exiting out of the prompt too quickly. Happens to me all the time. Single click to opt out, hold button in to accept

This is another issues I have. It is happening way too often. It should not be possible to reject/accept extra life by using any button. That is such a retarded way to implement it it boggles the mind. Also, why there is no option to automatically use extra life? Why would I not use it? Their whole point is to be used.
