Is this game "slower" than Eternal?
I heard this game is slower than Eternal, is that true? I'm getting old and Eternal was too crazy for me. I prefer slower combat these days. More exploration, more story, more immersion, etc. Would I like this game over Eternal?

You can customize your experience. You can crank up the speed of the game or lower it just as you like it. Same thing with how much damage you take, the demons take from you or how aggressive your enemies are. I didn't touch anything on my first playthrough and it sometimes felt faster than eternal but mostly not.

I used to get headaches after playing Eternal for two hours. Here I spend 3 days back to back - with sleep and eating breaks ofc. Having a blast

Base game is on par of eternal specially if you use shield bash to move around enemies, people saying is slower is because they hide behind shield instead sprinting and use shield to "travel" between enemies.

The game is quick enough you can dodge all the attack without shield except maybe 1-2 can be tricky and not worth the risk.

You can slow or raise the speed of the game with an option if you need.

Overall yes is more exploration and immersion, even more story but probably was better if ID not added it.

It's much slower, and you can play defensively because you have a shield that blocks hits. You also don't need to dash around constantly to avoid damage and switch weapons all the time. The game doesn't even have a dash.

It feels "heavier." Yes, I prefer it even though I didn't struggle too much with Eternal.

You probably not see the difference because you see people flying in eternal instead playing it, but it's slower of shield bash and shield bash don't need glitch to be used.
It doesn't have the crazy double-dashing and meathook-launching of Eternal, but it DOES feature a considerably faster movement speed when sprinting. So in some ways it's faster, and in other ways it's slower. It's a different type of game all-together, which makes it difficult to make a 1:1 comparison.

There's no need to "get" you. You're demonstrating your idiocy all by yourself every day when you dump your drivel here (and likely elsewhere.)

This is the fact, some people forgot to use sprinting and shield bash, if you play in this way, specially with option to 150% speed, is more faster than 2016 and eternal and without the need or glitch or anything else, only normal doom playing.

People saying is slower are usually youtube players or people hide behind shield.

"need to glitch" its not glitching lmao it would be patched if it were. people found out you could do it and liked it so much they expanded on it, sounds like a skill issue man

You are really young if not know glitch can become features in videogames and not get fixed, probably you not known about quake.

LIke i said youtube players should play a game before talking of it.
