Is there a Lack of Music in the game?
I feel like I just went through a portion of the game and I haven't heard any music.

Like the "flying" sequence has just been a little lacking, thought there might be some sick riffs or something. Or the Titan battle near enough silent.

Just wondering if it is me.

For some reason it is always in the background. I have music on 100% and sounds on 60% and it still feels like low volume background music.

Music feels very sterile in this game.

No mike gordon, it shows, koff you can hear the difference.
You gotta turn the music up all the way to even hear it, and it's pretty bland.
I just did the first mech smash stomp sequence and I swear there was no music at all playing. Surely this should be when the ultimate mega metal should be playing?

You gotta turn it up to 100% and every other audio setting down to around 65%. It's an awful mix and I think intentional because the music isnt good.

I agree. They know Mick Gordon's music was so beloved, they had to reduce the volume on this game's music because it's clearly a massive downgrade.
You can try turning the music up to 100%, lowering the gunfire and making the sound louder.
When people are concentrating, they can hardly hear the music. I experienced this when playing DOOM 2016.
Yeah music doesn't hype me up as much yet, just finished chapter 7. Sometimes the eternal rifts start up and start hyping me, but nothing super good music wise yet.

No, the game is full of awesome music.

Oh man, I am, glad it is not just me (kinda), I tried dropping the volume of some of the others but not as far as some of you suggested. bit annoying that I will have missed that first time feel with the music :/

Like Level 1 of Eternal, or the first time BFG Division hit, y'know.

I Know there was the Mick Gordon debacle, but more for me now is, where the heck IS the music.

I've been saying this. The music in this game is good, and it's perfect ambiance. Mick Gordon's music stood out though, it wasn't ambiance, it was beside you each fight. The music here is still great, but it's background music and nothing else.
The music is fine for a Doom game, but it is not as memorable as in Doom 2016. It doesn't booster my adrenaline.
So I have a suspicion that they did not master the music for the game but rather just a normal mastering like you would see on an album, the inverse of what happened with Mick Gordon, where he mastered the music for the game but then was not able to do the mastering for the album release of eternal
