Drop your settings a bunch (they make no difference at highest quality) and switch x4 framegen to x2, you'll get much better quality with fake frames actually looking great and still get comparable framerate.

I know I won't be able to run with that high of an fps when the path tracing update is out. But I don't expect to. The 5080 lacks the VRAM for that. But I'm not playing at 8K so I don't need it to.

Because you're using x4 framegen which looks noticeably worse than x2. And you can compare than there's no difference in quality between few highest quality settings, there's no point "maxing it" I'm at 55 inch display and really lowering framegen gives better quality than claiming you have maxed settings with 4x framegen.

As another poster said, why care about what randos on here or anywhere else say or think ? You're running the game at the settings you want to run it at & you're happy with it & that's all that matters.

I'm a big fan of framegen, raytracing, pathtracing. People can cry all they want but all 3 are only going to become more ubiquitous in games over time. Nvidia have bet everything on 'light' & they're going to win.

Not if you're using frame generation. The game itself is NOT running at that frame rate. All it does is make the game look ♥♥♥♥ and increase latency. But sure, whatever you say.

Yea the days of traditional rendering are over. If people can't accept that, that is their problem. Look at AA and AF. Those didn't exist at the beginning of 3D acceleration. Now they are common in literally every game. Ray tracing is just another such technology. It has matured pretty quickly. Though we still aren't at the peak of what it can do.
