1. US does not include sales tax in the store price but is displayed at checkout.
2. Europe has VAT which generally makes most things more expensive comparatively.
Basically, different tax policies for different regions, as well as different ways of displaying products. You see a price, and that's what you pay. I see the price and know I'm going to be adding around 6-10% depending on state and local tax laws. However, VAT is higher in general based on the different elements it feeds into, which you can probably educate better than I can since I don't live there or know the policies as well.

The amount of nonsense gaming companies get away with is insane! But they have a wide audience of illiterates who frankly don't give a damn, so why not? Milk them more, I guess. I'm just shocked at the prices, especially since we're still processing the initial shock of the $70 price tag to begin with.
And people, no one will give you fake steam points. There is no reason to answer if you have no idea. Why do so many people feel the urge to respond without knowledge or get involved when they have no stake in the matter?
