What's with the goofy NPC's?
I specifically like the ones with torn off arms going "oh, uh ah".
There's also the repetitive "we need to evaquate" in a dispassionate voice.
Could only get much goofier if they literally threw their hands up in the air while running in circles.
Some of this feels more like an early 2000's budget title and less like a premium AAA 80€ release.
If I didn't play this on gamepass I'd honestly feel a bit shafted by the lack of production values.

I mean, every game cept maybe 3 has had some goofy moments in the story. Doom Guy came back to earth but found out the demons killed his rabbit, so he dove back into the hell face-first to quench his thirst for revenge.

Yeah, but there are civvies running around everywhere and they seem mostly out of place and not very well done in general.
Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 had some pretty amazing moments where you run past some of the imperial guard and that game does it amazingly well. In Doom the Dark Ages they don't only don't add much to the athmosphere, imo, they are even so badly done that they have a negtive impact on it.

I haven't beat the game yet cause I'm having more fun in the forums so I may be incorrect on this but it seems like the civvies exist solely to make the slayer seem more BA since every time I see them they are just scared of him.

I'm still waiting for the game's "You can't shoot a hole into mars" moment.
evaquate??

The repeating voice lines is so bad. Lots of things in this game are just poorly done.

It comes across as either laziness or a complete lack of pride in their work. If that were one of the few tasks I had as a developer, I’d make sure it was done properly. Either they were severely rushed and couldn’t spare the time, or they simply didn’t care enough to put in the effort.

Yeah, this is exactly how what it looks like to me. The NPCs throughout the levels look like they were left unfinished.
