Now I'm just curious like how does a 150-200mill game make a profit when you have like 70-90% of people playing on gamepass instead of buying the game?
You can't shovelware names like DOOM. You just can't. You can shovelware names like Pokemon or Mario or Zelda or whatever, but you can't shovelware DOOM. It was a name made famous by SMART COMPUTER NERDS. Who do they think they're selling this game to??
It's so scary when we have this thing that gives you all these answers yet people would rather just be cattle and listen to a couple people and just run with that without ever doing their own research when said research consists of just looking at the steam page and looking at the price, pretty widely available information... but no, nobody has their own freewill anymore and does their own research, and it's clear as day
British Pound £69.99 $92.96
Israeli New Shekel ₪319.00 $89.66

Saudi Riyal 299.00 SR $79.71
Costa Rican Colon ₡40000 $79.00
Polish Zloty 299,00zł $78.18
South African Rand R 1399.00 $77.54
Singapore Dollar S$99.90 $76.79

You also have to remember tax in some of these places will easily bring the game over $100 for the base version of the game , plus income is also a big concern for people in many places around the world.
Then we finally have the US.
U.S. Dollar $69.99 $69.99
That's literally from Steam my guy.
I can't believe you've never heard of SteamDB.
Along with the hardware requirements, not to talk about the allways online requirement to just even launch a single player game.
All previous Doom games were all preservable, not this time around.
That's a lot to swallow in one pill. And a hard one to.
The world is more than just the USA.
Oblivion is a massive game with much much more replayability with hundreds of hrs of content that was cheaper.
The price and gamepaass most definitely had a effect on people.
