Chapter 10 Forsaken Plains very low fps, anyone else?
I'm very much enjoying the game, and I usually get 130 FPS (at 1440p) on a 9800x3d and 9070xt, on linux (with latest mesa-git drivers).

But as soon as I enter the Forsake Plains (Chapter 10, Hell level), the FPS drops to 30 (and almost seems capped according to the in game FPS meter, never going about 30fps) and dips whenever I encounter enemies.

Has anyone encountered this issue?

Same thing, on Linux and everything was working fine until chapter 10. Have you had any luck fixing it?
Sadly no. So far this only happened for Chapter 10 (and 11 but 11 is short). After that everything is back to having normal FPS.
got through the whole game without dropping below 60fps, but i am on nvidia gpu.

I've heard mesa drivers for amd had some issues, wait for the next release, i am sure it is a bug that will be fixed
one thing that came to my mind, do you use wayland? might be useful to allow screen tearing in your desktop environment.

on kde I did this: Alt+f3 - more - configure special application settings - add property - allow screen tearing (force). it helps to uncap framerate in many games, but also it fixes numerous frametiming problems and streaming performance in discord

Same issue, similar hardware. Fedora 42 using KDE, 9900X3D w/9070XT.

Wondering if this is an issue on Windows machines... it seems like the openness of the level is having some impact. Was such a shock for the performance to tank so badly when its been 120fps+ up to now.

I once had frame drops in one of the later chapters, but when replaying it, it was fine. Try rebooting the game/PC.
