Yeh, under the gameplay settings screen.
Also if the speed lines in the corner bother you make sure you turn off screen effects. Also gets rid of that annoying red overlay when you're close to death.
Oh, really? Sorry OP, didn't know you had to press forward still. Hopefully it's better this way though at least.
One example of how I wished it behaved is how the classic Doom games (or at least their source ports?) handle the "Always Run" option. If you turn this on, you're always sprinting without the need to touch the Shift key. If you DO decide to hold Shift, though... you walk! So you don't completely lose the ability to walk, it just sort of inverts things, which is really convenient.
Agreed, that would be a nice option. I could see them adding it in the future. Much like some games have a keybind for slow walk, they could add something similar.
