More fun than Eternal. Full Stop.
1. Not the same formulaic game play. Eternal was the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over I forget exactly what it was, but it was like "Shoot-shoot-dodge-melee for ammo-shoot-shoot-dodge-melee for ammo <--- rinse repeat.

2. Loving the Quake I elements so far. Finally a glimpse at what a proper Q5 might look like.

3. Parkour (at least early on) is for secrets and short cuts, not am artificial busy work wedged into the map between literally every fight.

I said it, I won't take it back. 100x better than Eternal!

Plus we get the Campaign DLC added Later on, might want to own the game instead of playing on game pass because I know game pass doesn't have DLCs.
That platforming won't be missed.
This is 10x better than Eternal can confirm.
Give us an option to turn off bullet time during slowdown and melee combos and I'll jump on this opinion. Until then, Eternal had the better combat loop IMO.

I'm Definitely going to buy it. Waited after Eternal, since it was on Game Pass, but unless it makes a sharp downward turn, they earned my money this go around.

Amen. I'm enjoying the platforming in this, it's not necessary for the level, it's more of you see something you might be able to reach and then find loot when you do it.

The shield dynamic is fun as hell too. I legit was like "Oh, no F this" when they introduced the shield, now I'm charging enemies and captain Americaing this demons left and right. It's a viable, fun to use weapon. Not a "Oh crap, no ammo. welp, gotta shield for a while." kinda thing.

Agree that would be a nice feature, agree to disagree on Eternal having a better loop. That game was like dance dance revolution, just remember the button combo and repeat. Hated it.

The base game will almost most definitely go on sale by then most likely around $30 so no harm playing it chea on gamepass at launch.
Yea that's like your opinion "bro"

Just like how someone else's opinion is that

My little pony adventure is better than Doom TDA.

They're not wrong either, should they post here too?

Hello Billy Bitterness, they *shouldn't* post here, because this isn't a My Little Pony Forum, but it *IS* a forum for Doom: The Dark Ages.

I hope that clarifies things, and I hope your day gets better!

Wow.... you really reply that..... literally the exact thing you did.....

This is the DOOM TDA forums... not the DOOM Eternal forums...

I hope this clarifies things.

Talk about having zero self awareness, damn..

Dear Angry Gamer.
A vital piece of context you seem to be omitting is that Doom Eternal is from the same game series as Doom TDA. This (in the minds of people not raging for some inexplicable reason) makes it quite relevant to the discussion of Doom:TDA and also makes it the most appropraite game to compare it to!

My little Pony not only isn't an entry into the Doom franchise, it's not even an FPS, or based in the iD crafted universe of Quake and Doom.

This might be confusing, especially if you are really angry (as you are for whatever reason, perhaps you worked on Eternal? Please know that this game being 100x better than Eternal does not invalidate you as a person in any way shape or form.)

I hope this helps, and I hope you select decaffeinated coffee going forward. Thanks for stopping by.

I hate to use the phrase, but if you optimize the fun out of Eternal's loop, then yeah its crap. Variety is the spice of life. Both Dank Age and Eternal have that in spades, and if it wasn't for that damn slowdown...
eehh...it feels different, though not as fun as flying around with flight hook or ballisya boosting
you can literally do slow down while holding the throw button down for the shield
