All 6000 series and newer AMD GPUs have hardware RT support and run the game just fine.

I have a 7800XT and have had no Issues running the game at 1440P ultra nightmare. Older AMD cards like the 6000 series might struggle but 7000 and 9000 series i dont think will

For you. YOU should have done your research. Obviously its not something to avoid if you GPU supports RT. There are several AMD RTX GPUs,

Difference is this is RTX required..not just included. YOU won't be playing this game with a 1080.

OP throws AMD GPUs under the bus for no reason.

AMD GPUs that can run DOOM The Dark Ages:
RDNA 4 (RX 9000)
RDNA 3 (RX 7000)
RDNA 2 (RX 6000)

Adding Linux to the equation:
RDNA1 (RX 5000)
GCN 5 (Vega)
GCN 4 (Polaris)
GCN 3 (285, 380, 380X, Fury)

There are *MORE* AMD GPUs than Nvidia GPUs that can run Doom The Dark Ages, lmao.

TL;DR: Do bother if you have an AMD GPU.
