24 hours ban in single game....
While I was testing on my Steam Deck which Proton version runs the game best, I received the message:

“Currently your game purchase cannot be re-validated successfully, please wait 24 hours and try again.”

This is unacceptable for a single-player game—what are they going to take from me if someone ‘stole’ it, my achievements?

It’s also outrageous when I’ve paid €220 and can’t even play the game.

this sounds like the usual denuvo bs

I wasn’t aware of this program or its limitation; I looked it up online, and it really is just as you said.

That said, it still strikes me as silly, especially for a single game.

Thats the standard for years now. They should put a big fat disclaimer on the storepage for steamdeck users, 2 of my friends had the same issue but with different games that had denuvo.

Same problem here, trying different version of proton and recieve a ban for 24. Denuvo scum

Doesn't matter if single player, it's there for anti-piracy. It'll get removed in 6-12 months. But yea, double check the next game. The Steam store pages list on the side bar if Denuvo or other 3rd party components are in the game.

In any case, this particular program is poorly implemented and disappoints game buyers.

Feels like in the case of Steam Deck it's really more Valves fault that its counting it as different installs.

Yeah, be careful while messing with proton when Denuvo's involved.

I add, people already cracked this game, so denuvo is pretty much useless and causes only problems.

F to doubt. As its not as common as it used to be for there to be cracks for it.

most people dont give af about a steam deck, i owna few and they are trash compared to newer handhelds

If you tolerate this kind of behavior from devs then expect them to make every game in this mold.

This and the forced ray tracing is beyond obnoxious.

Wow this is insane. =/ Has anyone got this to run on deck? I'm playing it on my PC but I like to replay games on my deck.

First time using steam?

Connect your deck to your WIFI and stop whining.
