RTX 4080 and only sound?

Wth? I click on play, i can only hear a startup sound and no screen? My videocard can handle RTX. So does my screen. It's G-sync compatible and supports 2560x1440p. ASUS ROG Swift, don't know what model, but it's 28 or 27"

Did you install the latest drivers? Aside from that, did you try to reinstall the game? Verified the game files?

I just got this game today. I think checking up on new drivers would be nice. NVidia app didn't gave me a message that there was a new one. Reinstalling the game i don't think is the answer as i just installed it. I allready did a verify on game files. Will let you know later!

Ok, reinstalled drivers for NVidia. Also let the program remove all older versions. Installation succesful but the problem stays.... ASUS ROG PG279Q is my monitor. Playing with update 576.40 by NVidia

Just read previous messages... Drivers up to date, owned the game since today. So it's already a fresh install... Verifying files, nothing nothing nothing... Will be strange if i did a fresh install and everything suddenly works...

Uninstalled, downloaded another 80 gb a 77gb but same result... I feel screwed by a company that normally has quality games! Dunno if this same problem existed with Indiana Jones? Doom: The Dark Ages allready scam game of the year? Ridiculous high pricing of 80 euro and 90 for deluxe? And so much wrong about this game with launching issues...

Sadly id like most AAA corporations decided to cut corners this time around rather than actually releasing a polished game.

i got a magic fix but u will have to play without dlls/frame gen,or fsr
FSR located:Doom- The dark ages>Content>amd-ffs
Dlls location Doom- The dark ages>Content>streamline>produuction

Just move these folders out of game folders,and game will launch

I'm trying to find a fix for overall issue,trying different driver versions,different dlls versions,but no luck for now.
i get about 120 fps on 2k max setting,but i just want to play with more frames with dlls and frame gen,just cuz.

my Specs:Rtx 4090 intel i913900kf

will try to play with overclocking setting of cpu/gpu too

It rly sux that both the devs of game and nvidia are so unprofessional.

Do you have any third party overlays (Riva Tuner f.e)? Try turning them off.

Also on 4080. Had the same problem when tried to use FSR frame gen with Afterburner enabled.

Hm, I've had weird issues where a fresh install has helped before, but this is really unusual. =/ They raise the price of the game and then sadly have these types of problems, and the keybinding thing is messed up too, in game.
