Screen Tearing
I have tried adjusting everything in game and in my graphics card software and I can't stop screen tearing. Anyone else have this problem, or have a fix for it?

I'm also having this problem when I use frame generation, it seems it completely ignores the refresh rate that I set even with Vsync on. I have the refresh set to 144 and yet it's shooting up to 200+ FPS with FG turned on, that's not how FG works in other games for me, it usually respects the FPS limit/refresh rate/vsync.
I turned off Frame Generation and lost like 40 frames but the tearing is gone. Using freesync and i turned FSR up to balanced and the game looks and plays smoother

Refresh rate is 160. Used Rivatuner to lock it down because the game will allow FPS to go way above that no mater what i do, even tried Vsync.... it not even doing what its supposed to.

I refunded the game. Could not figure out how to get the tearing to stop.

Did you ever find a solution?

never did. This game just does not run very well

I have a Gsync monitor and force Vsync in the control panel, so I don't have screen tearing in any game.

good for you. I'm getting around 100 FPS, but no matter what I do I get tearing and stuttering.

You have other issues in your system then. Check the developer FAQ.

I have 130+ fps at 4K with max settings, no frame gen. Not a single tear or stutter... because I use a gsync monitor. VRR is one of the best monitor features ever invented.
I've been experiencing screen tearing as well. I've tried everything. Adjusting my monitor, playing with Nvidia control panel settings, vsync, frame gen etc. I might get it to seem like it's working for a short while and then it just starts up again. I have a brand new computer fully updated and tearing on other games has been simple to fix.
NVCP Vsync does not work for me.

I thought the same thing for literally like 8 years, and then I realized that you have to restart the game after changing the setting. It won't do anything if you change it while in-game.

Hi there. I also have a G-Sync monitor, the Samsung Odyssey G9. It works perfectly with any other game. But with this new Doom, it doesn’t works as I expected. I also have the issue that no matter the setting on the Vsync, the game keeps running at higher frame rates and it doesn’t looks smother. Where exactly did you “forced” the Vsync settings?
As far as I know, NVIDIA sets GSync at 120fps Max, even when my monitor can run up to 240hz.
Thanks for your time.
