It's not Nvidia, it's Id [Problem FIXED]
Game hasn't worked since early access. Currently on Geforce drive 566.36, I've tried every driver between this one and most current driver and problems persists through every version.

Intel i7 12700 cpu with a 3080 rtx gpu. 16gb of ram, which has been verified with a 4 hour mem test this morning.

Game could run for a minute, or it could run for 10, there's no determination. Just ran it with DLSS set to performance, it crashed in 2 mins. Event viewer provided this:
The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: \Device\Video13 Error occurred on GPUID: 100 The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

I've done searches for nvlddmkm, it's not in my System32 folder, but on a fresh installation, I was able to search and find it in there, take full ownership, game continues to crash.

I'm using driver 566.36 on 4090 and it is working great.
I was freezing constantly until I installed 572.83, but yeah it is a problem with the game.
I'm running on...

GPU 3060 12Gb
CPU i7 10700
Memory 32Gb
SSD (SATA)

played it this morning on default settings at 1080p.

Buttery smooth and responsive and no crashes. Interesting how different our experiences are. Sounds like your device drivers somehow aren't installed properly have you tried reinstalling them.

Sounds like a integrated GPU problem. Is your IGPU deactivated? If not, try that

i got a magic fix but u will have to play without dlls/frame gen,or fsr
FSR located:Doom- The dark ages>Content>amd-ffs
Dlls location Doom- The dark ages>Content>streamline>produuction

Just move these folders out of game folders, and game will launch

I'm trying to find a fix for overall issue, trying different driver versions, different dlls versions, but no luck for now.
i get about 120 fps on 2k max setting, but i just want to play with more frames with dlls and frame gen, just cuz.

my Specs:Rtx 4090 intel i913900kf

will try to play with overclocking setting of cpu/gpu too

It rly sux that both the devs of game and nvidia are so unprofessional.
Installed the latest driver on my 4090. Game hasn't crashed or hitched and I just started chapter 4 after 2 hours of play. Whatever is plaguing those in this thread is some combination of hardware / software that is running. The game is fine.

Exactly. Though it works fine for me on older driver.

No integrated graphics. It was disabled on BIOS day 1.

I am on latest drivers and the game runs flawlessly in every way. Very happy and surprised that it's so well optimized.

I use the current Driver with a Geforce 5070 and it runs perfect so far.

Same. No crashes yet either.
Does sound more like a corrupt or buggy driver than an engine bug, although engine bug is possible. I hope it's one of them because otherwise possible card/pcie communication drop. Which could be due to overheating, insufficient power, borked motherboard/pcie slot or card.

My money would probably be on a buggy nvidia driver if you hadn't already tried a load of them. I would definitely grab hwmonitor and watch temps while I played if I were you, and double-check wattage on power supply. Can't be too careful.
