I am still have hopes that someone figures out how to disable RTX. For example in Star Wars Outlaws you can disable it through editing config file.
1440p requires a 2080 super to a 3080 ideally. 3090 being the ideal card. 40-50 series cards that are on par with a 3080 ti would be a good goto depending on price.
I wouldn't bother with 2160p gaming, you sacrifice a lot, for small gains, and you have to use dlss as an upscaller to get playable frame rates.

Game runs in 100-140 fps. I don't like DLSS but graphics looks pretty good.
GPU temperature is around 75C
I think I delay my GPU upgrade for now.
