Doom the dark ages runs like absolute CHEEKS on steam deck (for now)

When I say cheeks I mean bad cheeks, not good cheeks. We aren't talking about commander Thira cheeks, we're talking about Baboon cheeks. It starts out fine but the moment you start getting into the heavier areas (larger number of enemies etc) you'll be havving a bad time. I'm currently trucking my way through it to see how the whole experience is in general. There is a possibility, much like Indiana Jones and the great circle that the game will actually get better and eventually get a verified status but for now, unless your okay with an inconsistent frame rate, just don't bother. The good news is Valve a few days prior to official launch released an update via the preview branch for TDA that allows the game to actually start and play on deck, so they are working to get the game running, but outside of proton and steam OS, any more major changes are developer side.

I bought a Steam Deck OLED for this and it shall be arriving next week. I'll wait for some patching and tweaking before I start playing it.
