Can my graphics card run this game?
I don't know much about computers but my computer has a nvidia geforce gtx 1660 ti and when I googled if it supports raytracing the ai response told me that it does? When I tried launching this game I got an error saying "Raytracing Incompatible GPU. A GPU with hardware raytracing capabilities and at least 8GB of dedicated VRAM is required to launch the game". Do I need to purchase a new graphics card?

upgrading would be advisable and yes your gpu does do RT but game wants 8GB VRAM the 1660 only has 6gb so even if you could launch it it wont be a nice experience

No brother.. You'll need at least a 2060S RTX or similar AMD GPU and idk much about the AMD make/model #'s.

It stinks but I had a feeling a few years ago this might happen with games at some point and grabbed a 3070RTX. Game plays great in 1440p with it on my 5700x3d.

hate to break it to you but yeah i think it's time to upgrade or you could refund and stick with non RT games
No. You need an RTX graphics card, GTX cards won't run the game.

The game requires hardware raytracing, which was added with Nvidia RTX2000 series, and AMD RX6000 series.

You also need at least 8GB of VRAM.

Nvidia also added DX ray tracing in a driver update for the 10 series tho you get around 10 fps depending on the 10 series card you have
I just finished first level on gtx1660 Ti, medium settings 1080p dynamic scaling on, game runs fine, no fps drops, slaying deamons is fun. There are visual effects missing, it is visible in first cutscene on shield and shotgun, we talking fancy reflections here.

I only skipped launcher. Started game from DOOMTheDarkAges.exe (I use gamepass version can't say steam would work). It is in "Content" folder.

So I you can try. You can always return game on steam if you don't hit 2h mark.
