4090 update drives crashing extremely frequently

Posts like these are difficult to provide troubleshoot, but I'll try. You don't list any specs beyond your 4090. You also don't list any measures you've taken to address the problem.

That said, use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to do a clean install of your driver. I was having driver problems a few weeks ago, but since I started using DDU, it's been smooth sailing.

I've played this game a lot on a 4090 and have not crashed once.

Im on a 4090 with 566.36 driver and running the game fine.

assume ive taken the normal steps for a non advanced tech person, (im usually tech savy im drunk tonight)

try going back to older drivers. I have very old one and it runs flawlessly

Eh, try DDU if you haven't already. Drunk or not, that might fix your issue

Bios version? Are you running 0x12B?

Revert to a stable version of the driver, despite what the game warns you about at launch it still runs perfectly fine.

The game has a pop up that requires you click Play even if you're running current drivers.

If you didn't restart your computer after updating your driver, you need to restart and reinstall the driver, then restart again and see if the game continues to crash. If it does revert to 566.36.

It's also worth downloading DLSS Swapper and swapping DLSSFSR 3.1 to 1.0.1.3921 and XeSS to 2.0.1.32

Using Driver 566.36 and the game runs perfect. I did have to turn Asus GPU Tweak III (on screen display) off in order for the game to run. Using HWinfo64's on screen display to monitor gpu/cpu usage/temps/fan speeds etc. while playing. Works great.

566.36 with a 4080Super not one crash in an hour. I'm not really expecting any problems tbh, this driver is super stable for all my games/programs. Forced dlss preset k through nvprofileinspector but found out I don't need it. 4k/ultra/60fps is totally solid and my 4k screen in only 60hz.

That's odd,I use afterburner as well with 566.36 and the overlay works fine, the overlay is rtss btw.

You're right. It is working fine with msi afterburner rtss osd on. I think my problem was having gpu tweak III overlay at the same time. I edited my post. Cheers!

As others mentioned DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE LATEST DRIVER. I took their advice and rolled back to previous driver and no crashes since
