Doom 2016 could already be pretty hectic. Doom Eternal fastness wasn't the issue but the ammo budget; weapon management and swapping wasn't my thing.
To me it just looks like Doom Eternal, but grounded. That last combat sequence in the trailer plays nothing like Doom '16, the guy goes from shooting, to using the shield three different ways, to smashing a demon with a flail and then kicking. So it defenitly looks like DA will rely on cooldowns skills management like Eternal in order play like this. But due to difficultly complaints with Eternal and super low DLC completion rates I think they've slowed things down. People hoping for a relatively basic shooter like Doom '16 was again will likely be disappointed again.
Imagine you had a tool in eternal that gave you unlimited ammo that you could use when ever you wanted aswell as multiple other ways of getting ammo back meaning there's no ammo issue... Oh wait there already is.
