Minimum Requirements?

So what does everybody think the minimum requirements for this will be? I'm hoping I can skate by with my current rig, but I'm still running a GTX 1070, so yea.... But I can't afford an upgrade. Hoping I'll at least hit minimum to run at 45fps on 1080p low or something.

It runs all games maxed 1440p 60 fps whici why i dont worry for rrequirements.
one of my friends still has grx 1070 since 2016. When i tell him how much better the graphics are on mine 6700xt that i play all games maded 1440p 60 fps and with ray tracing and fsr he says that he dont cares for graphics he just want to play the games which is why he still has it.
But you must chane it as now many new games need gtx 1060 minimum like space marine 2 for example

it is monster yes! Latest upgrade was in 2021 wheni changed graphics card. And in 2020 i got ssd. Cpu ram and motherboard are older because i got them in 2017. it runs all games maxed 1440p 60 fps and also it loads evrything in 1 second(windows, games, movies, internet programs).

I just hope that my RX 6650 XT will be good enough to run the game on high settings at 1080p. Probably FSR will do the trick, if the game supports FSR that is.

i highly doubt the scale of the game will be THAT intensive. you're looking at a linear corridor shooter, not a non-linear story focused adventure game. Doom TDA will certainly perform better not due to the engine, but due to the devs behind it being better at their jobs, and i doubt Doom will hamper it's performance with "mandatory ray tracing". it does still need to run at par standard performance on consoles after all. even Eternal's ray tracing implementation was extremely light and limited solely to reflections and not much else.

two different games with two different teams and design philosophies do not predicate a pattern with each other.

granted, i'll eat my words if TDA comes out an unoptimized mess, but so far, the team working on Doom hasn't disappointed in that department and have gone above and beyond to give players a stable and well functioning game. i expect The Dark Ages to be no different in it's adaptability for wide ranges of hardware based on that precedent alone.

I hope not, because I don't even meet minimum specs there. I'm also sick of games REQUIRING SSDs now. I dont have a SSD. If I won't be able to play Dark Ages, I'm gonna an hero.

Indiana Jones mandatory hardware raytracing support precedent is pretty interesting tho considering that it still runs at 60 FPS on consoles. Nevertheless I highly doubt id will go the same route for Doom.

An SSD costs as much as a new AAA game these days, such an odd thing to be complaining about in 2024. If you are that broke, how can you even afford DA?

On Friday i went to ap c shop with two of my friends becuase one of them who is pc gamer and pc techncician wants to uprade his pc because he has nto upgraded since 2016 and he wants to upgrade evrything. I showed him the pc parts and we talkred with the pc technciain there
Yes ssd is the cheapest component now!
A MP 600 PRO 2TB 7000MB/S costs 200 euros and is one of the 3 fatest ssd now.
A 990 PRO 2TTB 7400MB/S ssd costs 200 euros
I got mine MP 600 2TB 4950MB SSD for double the price in June 2020 430 euros
His pc is Core i5 6600k 16 gb 2800 mhz gtx 1070 and 250 gb ssd.
But because he dosent wantto spent 2000 euros to change evrything at the same time like he did 8 years ago on September 2016 he decided to change one or two parts att he time
Yesterday that i met him again he told me that he tryes to decide which parts will change first:
Either he will change ssd first then graphics card and psu later and then cpu ram and motherboard. Or he will change graphics card and psu and later ssd and and after that cpu ram and motherboard.
