DOOM: The Dark Ages

Dark ages design concerns
Anyone else worried about them doubling down on the platforming while also having playable third person sections? And will we still not be able to disable the cartoonish rainbow coloured immersion breaking loot lol. Eternal already felt like mario with all the damn platforming and i don't need third person sections in the most iconic fps game ever made. Talk about not playing to your strengths.

The trailer seemed to suggest the rainbow showers are gone or at the very least optional.

It's almost as though the colour (which classic doom had more of) served a purpose, same with the platforming.

i think we have to give the haters that the ammo drops thru chainsaw having different colors didnt make a single difference. you vacuum it all up immediately after chainsawing. you could argue that its nice to know what ammo is leftover when you then run out of ammo later, but the chainsaw ammo drops dont stick around long enough for that to be a relevant argument unfortunately. but then again, since you vacuum all the ammo up immediately after chainsawing, whats the issue with it being color coded? you see it for half a second, probably even less. would their lives be that much better if it was all a faded brown?

random ammo pickups scattered on the ground, however, being color coded is definitely a good thing. you have to actually make contact with that ammo to pick it up.

Lmao platforming in Doom eternal never took more than one minute to complete, i spent way more time running around looking for collectibles for the sake of it, are you THAT bad?
