We've seen his face since 1993.
Figuratively, not literally, of course.
I'm saying he should be a normal military dude, not some sort of Greek God.
He was a normal military dude for about 3 entire games. It makes sense that he would be so dedicated to what he does he just evolves beyond just a soldier... he became the force that keeps hell in check after fighting for eons.
There's also a theory saying Doom Marine is Wolfenstein's BJ III.
But my problem is how did he fight the demon hoard for eternity? He's a dude born in 21XX.
Unless the aliens ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the time and space stuff so Doom Marine got trapped in time.
If that's the case, then it's pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. I feel bad for Doom Marine.
I mean, has he been around all this time, going through both World Wars, and lives to the future Doom-era and joined the Earth Military as a marine grunt?
There was some sort of energy deal between the heaven and the hell (that involves harvesting human souls) went sour.
Then ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan.
lolz the story in Doom post Eternal is confusing af whatever
the only war he's seen, and experienced, is the demon war that we will no doubt be experiencing in TDA on the Sentinel planet, probably at the end of the game. but it being at the end of the game is of course just my guess. other than that, demon invasion on mars, phobos, and earth, and being in hell for eons are the only other war-like things he's seen.
Okay, but the events he has experienced (Sentinel planet, Mars Invasion, in hell for enos) sounds like millions of years in terms of time scale.
It doesn't seem like Doom 1 and Doom Eternal are millions of years apart.
I'm guessing time in hell goes incredibly slow so the Marine was trapped there and tormented for thousands of years but it was actually just a few years for the Earth time?
