Doesn't look as good as Eternal, but...
I'm happy that it looks different.

Unsure how I feel about the weapons shown. I'm all for a brand new arsenal, but I'm not a fan of automatic weapons especially in this type of game. Hoping the weapon mods make them more interesting (assuming there are weapon mods, if not then I'll be much more concerned).

My biggest disappointment is the lack of verticality. I know we got less than a minute of gameplay, but we don't even see the slayer jump once, and the flat arenas make it seem like this is deliberate.

But if they give us something equally as interesting to compensate, then I'm okay with it. Looks like you can do some cool stuff with the shield, but nothing groundbreaking. If this game at least comes close to being as innovative as Eternal then I don't mind the change in direction. I know I'm not going to like it as much but I'm sure it'll still be worth playing. Looking forward to seeing more at Quakecon.

The platforming in Eternal wasn't bad, though quite a few people disliked what they did with the jumping mechanic in the DLCs.

It's the sequel effect. The second game in a series(counting the reboots as it's own thing) is usually the hardest, then the third game tries to balance stuff out. I love Eternal's initial difficulty, but I'm 100% sure this one will be closer in feel to 2016(namely slower and easier) than it. Either way I'm going to love it.

You're kidding, I hope it won't be Ethernal with its stupid jumps. Finally a shooting game, not a slasher with coloured balls.

It looks like the Hexen I've been waiting for.
Keep in mind that it's a prequel to Doom (2016). So therefore, expect new changes for gameplay mechanics and other elements.

It's not going to be like either of the last two games. It seems they are taking roots from the OG games in terms of horizontal combat and dodging attacks being fired at you in open areas. Glory kills also seem liked they are being re-done entirely if not removed.

One of the devs have been saying he wanted a more slower paced Doom for a few years now. I believe it was Hugo. It should be a fun change of pace.

We could have got Doom girl like the rumours were suggesting, which would have been a lot worse....

Same as eternal. Looks outright garbage.
The lack of verticality is perfect. Throwback to doom and serious Sam og gameplay.
