That trailer music...

Sounds very flat. Like trash gremlin Andrew Hulshult is doing the soundtrack. It's the most generic song that I've ever heard associated with Doom since they tried to emulate Nine Inch Nails for the Doom movie.

Yes, I know people are going to link to the Dusk OST and the two tracks he did in Quake Champions, while those tracks are good.. He kinda found his rut and is stuck in it. Same sound is never good because all of the games that use his music just start to play the same.

also, mick didn't write anything special except for meathook/slayer's gate and some ambients in doom eternal imo

Yeah, I always felt Andrew Hulshult was at his best doing more twisted atmosphere tracks like in Dusk, while his metal stuff felt more generic by comparison. I hope we get a good amount of variety in this soundtrack though, the more medieval-style setting could give him an excuse for some actual nightmarish tracks that give the game an otherworldly feeling when used properly.

The mixing for the audio is DOOM Eternal is pretty awful tbh

I mean it can't be just me that thinks that? You can hardly hear the music and stuff over other things like the sound effect from picking up armour for example
