'DOOM:Eternal' also lifted the entire rogue's gallery from 'Heretic/Hexen' as its new monsters.
An amalgamated 'id universe' might have been attractive, too, if they had leaned into it --
instead we're getting a sleepy Heretic/Hexen-themed sequel to DOOM, with even more giant Voltrons shoe-horned into the mix.
...I imagine the mecha we see in D:DA are to further stroke Hugo Martin's one-trick pony.
Nobody seems to be getting what they want out of "NuDoom" except for that guy.
I share little confidence that D:DA will retain much of the lifeblood of what was DOOM.
