For now, no, but we're considering an option for that, though it would cause all the equipment on the card to be lost.

Then have it remove ALL equipment (while adding them back into inventory).
As it is right now, we can't upgrade equipment when better items become available or when we make a mistake in equipping items.
I know several fights later I realized a mistake in equipping one of my cards, but the only way to rectify that would be restart the game from the beginning.

Well the characters literally tell you if you equip an item that's how it will be and forever.
Imo they could just add it as a difficulty option.
The original difficulty being you have to make the hard choices, wait for the best equipment, but have harder fights at start, or the reverse.
Slightly lower difficulty you can overwrite old equipment or delete old equipment on characters.
And easy difficulty where you can keep all equipment and swap however you want.

I'd definitely prefer being able to adjust the army setup. I'm not a fan of permanent choices locking you out forever. I'm hesitant to put gear on any of my cards because I don't know if I can buy more cards or gear down the line, or if money, cards, and/or gear are even things that I can generate forever. After beating the barmaid and burger girl 3 times, I can't challenge them further for more cards, gear, or money, and I feel like I don't know enough about the game yet to make good decisions about how to distribute the gear on the cards, especially with it being a permanent choice.

I do not like the idea of permanently devaluing a great card by putting on substandard equipment, nor of wasting great or unique equipment on a crappy card.


A respec or rebuild that costs money with some way to generate money would be far more preferable, or the ability to get more or replacement copies of cards and equipment, or abandon the individual card equipment concept entirely.

For example, being able to choose gear that affect your deck as a whole, or that affect specific positions, or specific unit types.


Bare minimum, we should be able to choose whether to finalize gear changes before being locked into it.


If you're really attached to the permanent gear thing, add a cheat option to get rid of it for people who just want to play the game and experiment and aren't worried about achievements.

I concur, it feels more sophisticated to be able to change and remove equipment from the cards. It's pretty unusual in a game for equipment to be permanent
