General review, index controllers, in-game store

Let me just say I really want to like this game. It's a cute concept seems to control well, when it works. I'm playing on the Index with the Knuckles controllers and put about 30 minutes in. Here's my feedback

• The controls are a problem on the Knuckles. General movement is fine, and the whole cat trotting motion is surprisingly intuitive (and a good workout to boot). However on the Knuckles, that motion seems to randomly pop up a phantom menu screen (The scene gray tints but no menu appears), pausing gameplay. I don't use this word lightly but when your game pauses every other step, it is unplayable for me. This can be dismissed with the A button but it's very jarring
  
• Once or twice my paw got stuck on geometry and I had to go find it before I could play properly again
  
• The most egregious thing however was the Secret Room. I completed the first couple of objectives and then I got an objective to go to the Secret Room, thinking it was the next step in the main quest line. However once I got to the Secret Room, I was presented with items to purchase (like a taser or a banana) and kept being directed to the store page for the deluxe edition. This bait and switch leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Either make these things acquirable in-game, or make them DLC. Both if you have to do DLC. But trying to insert them 'organically' and then asking me to buy them feels bad
  
• Next to the Secret Room is a dressing room with cosmetics. You seem to be able to buy them with fishes you collect in-game which is fine. Gives you something to work toward. Except I wound up stuck in this room and could not leave because the movement motion was not moving my character away from the mirror.

I'm going to wait a few days to see if at least the Knuckles movement problem is fixed, otherwise I'm going to refund which is sad because I really want to like this game.

I have the index as well and have played several days (getting to the garage) without any issues. I did find that I often moved forward then back if you don't do the full trotting motion.

As to the secret room, I think that its fine that they offer to buy to advance the game, if you don't want to go through the quests. I only really had trouble with catching the mice. As long as you understand that you can progress by following the questlines I think all is good. Hoping that keeps going forward.
