the quests should be optional, making food should not be a whole quest thing unless you have a hunger bar, just let people figure stuff out its more fun then being forced

The quests are just to unlock new areas. Gives the game a way to progress without having to 'buy' the levels. I mean, you don't need to do them. You can just play around and do what you want...
