app opens on monitor but dose not in vr headset.

if anyone has a fix let me know, ive uninstalled and verified the files and even reinstalled the steam vr app and nothing still.

Is your runtime set correctly and SteamVR open then running it from the games menu in VR? I use Virtual Desktop and it "Just works" for everything, never had problems.

thank you for the input ill have to give it a try, im not sure how to set runtime only because im new to vr. It has only become a recent issue with steam vr games not opening in the vr but they do open on my monitor. In the vr it just shows the game icon and says up next, ive tied just waiting it out and nothing still. ive reinstalled steam vr and checked for updates and also verified game files. Also tried the revive software that used toi work for my oculus games and thats not working anymore either.

Okay, on the SteamVR mini app that opens when you start SteamVR in the left hand corner you should see 3 bars beside the version number, click on that and go down to settings. In there you will see an OpenXR option and make sure it is set to SteamVR.

I also have this issue and have Openxr set to Steamvr but the game still won't open in vr. What else can I do?
