I can actually see cases where not running out of mousepad has some exceptional benifits to it.
But not much else.
used my original microsoftsidewinder for bz2 a bit, and alot for flying apatches through the valleys in bf1942 desert combat.
+1 if full support comes with redux
Playing Battlezone (or any FPS game) with a joystick has always been a complete joke though. There's no way you'll win a game with a joystick vs somebody using a proper mouse and keyboard... and then there's the RTS factor. Good luck trying to issue orders to your units with a joystick.
