The original BZ had joystick support, so it's likely this one will too. I'm looking forward to trying this with my G940, which I expect to go horribly horribly wrong because I'm terrible with sticks :D

I remember using a very VERY old Logitech for this. It may be time to get a new one.

If you can find and afford one, and are capable of maintaining it, I really must suggest the G940. Force feedback HOTAS systems are rare as it is. It won't make playing BZ any easier though, of course... :P

I remember finding out TimeVirus used a pair of joysticks. made me feel sad when I lost to him :( luckly we were usually 50/50 like a perfectly balanced starcraft2 win/loss chart :P

I can actually see cases where not running out of mousepad has some exceptional benifits to it.
But not much else.

used my original microsoftsidewinder for bz2 a bit, and alot for flying apatches through the valleys in bf1942 desert combat.

+1 if full support comes with redux

I just bind Z and X to steering, and I can pull off a max speed turn without using the mouse if I wish. :D

Playing Battlezone (or any FPS game) with a joystick has always been a complete joke though. There's no way you'll win a game with a joystick vs somebody using a proper mouse and keyboard... and then there's the RTS factor. Good luck trying to issue orders to your units with a joystick.

I used to use MS Sidewinder and there was software at the time to allow voice commands so I could say "Build Bomber" and it would know the keystrokes to get it built.
"Bombers 1, 2, and 3, attack target 5. Bombers 4, 5, and 6, attack target 6". :spazhorror:

Nah man, its more like "One, Four, Three, Two. One, five three two. One six three two. One seven three three. One eight three three. One nine three three." Ever write down a number so much it looks wrong. Im getting that with three and it driving me crazy.
