(This is in the OC6 main window)

I own both the 5.5 and 6 release of Open Canvas. In 5.5 everything works fine, but in 6, no pressure, I might as well be using a mouse. This makes OC6 worthless as a tool for me, so please fix this bug.

Windows 8.1
Wacom Bamboo Fun : cth-661 running the latest 8.1 drivers

Awesome, thanks for the info Fontes, that seems to have done the trick.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think "OS Coordinates" should be the default setting, to prevent situations like this. Oh well, one more to the "things to suggest to PG" file.

I dont use a Wacom Tablet. but I get this issue where both of the options in the bottom corner are grayed out:

I cant seem to get my pressure to work with Open Canvas
I use a Yiynova MSP19 and it seems to work pretty well with every other program, not sure what the problem is with this.

Kizunami, try opening OC with the Yiynova unplugged (USB only, you can leave the VGA/DVI on), see if you can fiddle with those options that way.

Then close OC, plug the tablet in and open OC again, see if that does anything.

OC doesn't officially support tablets that aren't from Wacom, which is a BIG mistake on their part, if you ask me. Huion, so far, seems to work well (it's what I currently use, and never had a problem so far), but issues have been confirmed with Monoprice (used one before, so I can confirm it too) and Ugee.

Still does the same thing, both options are greyed out. This isnt a huge issue to me, but I would certainly appreciate if they made it cross compatible.

Wait... the options appear grayed out even if you open OC with the YiYnova plugged in? If so, then it can't be it. Can ye tell us your PC specs?

I use Windows 7 (64 bit) Home Premium Service Pack 1 8GB RAM. My Yiynova MSP19 driver version is 3.44.

Also if this is helpful information I use a third-party program called Viziblr Fix My Pen! that disables the following processes:

Dynamic Feedback user policy
Dynamic Feedback machine policy
Tablet PC Input Panel user policy
Tablet PC Input Panel machine policy
Tablet PC Icon by Text Box user policy
Tablet PC Icon by Text Box machine policy
Flicks user policy
Flicks machine policy
Press and hold user setting

However, disabling or re-enabling these processes cause no difference in the way Opencanvas responds to my tablet. The Fix My Pen! processes simply get rid of windows 7's annoying tablet PC widgets that cause so much inconvenience for the person using the tablet.

Alright, so after playing around a bit I opened up of Adobe Photoshop to see if I was recieving the same issue and to my surprise, the pressure was also not working on Photoshop. So I decided to uninstall my driver and installed 4.13.1 for my tablet and the results were pretty positive!

Adobe Photoshop worked great with the pressure sensitivity, and both of the options in OpenCanvas' lower right corner are selectable now.

However, I am now getting the issue where upon startup I get this error message:

(Access violation at address 00000001800029E7 in module 'WinTab32.dll'. Write of address 0000000000000.)

this error message when trying to make a new canvas:

(Access violation at address 0000000000B3652F in module 'oC6.exe'. Read of address 00000000000014EB.)

and this error message when closing the program (I have to end task from task manager to get OpenCanvas to stop running):

(Access violation at address 00000000009989CA in module 'oC6.exe'. Read of address 00000000000015A4.)

So after performing ye olde Regedit trick in OpenCanvas, no luck. Still getting the same issue.
I'll let you know if I find a solution to my issue.

Edit:
The first time I installed the driver, Paint Tool SAI was having issues recognizing it, however after reinstalling the driver and rebooting my computer, Paint Tool SAI seems to work fine. TVPaint Animation also seems to have no trouble with the tablet.

OpenCanvas is rendered pretty much useless right now. I cant do anything with the program, please let me know of a fix.

And no, Visiblr Fix My Pen! has no physical affect on the functionality with these programs.

Ah, crap... so Yiynova gets the short end of the stick, too...

Starting on OC6, many non-Wacom tablets simply stopped working right. So far, the only non-Wacom brand that seems to be safe is Huion.

Personally, I think it might have something to do with their new Tablet PC functions, oriented for windows 8 tablets. They announced an option to turn those off would be in a future update, we'll have to wait and see if they do add that option, and if it does anything.

So, I'm afraid that in the meantime, you're stuck. :/

I am now physically unable to use this fantastic program. ♥♥♥♥.

Yep. I stayed with OC5 for a good while when I was still using my Monoprice.
