Read-in error pop-up

Every time I open up OpenCanvas 6 i get an error window that says "failed to read-in brushes (err=16)" and then occasionally "failed to read-in toner (err=16)". When I press "OK" it behaves normally, except under "brushes" I only get 3: the pen, watercolor 2, and eraser. It greatly limits my ability to work. Has anyone encoutered this problem too? Or does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you.

Just wondering... did you upgrade to Windows 10? I got that with my shortcuts right after my upgrade.

No I haven't upgraded since I heard a lot of applications are compatible with it.

I am currently running the trial version of Open Canvas. I downloaded it straight from the maker's website instead of via Steam. But I was getting similar error message just after the program opens. In my case it was "Failed Read-in Brushes (err=4)" When I would click OK or anywhere on screen I would get spammed with more of the same error boxes until I'd get a run time error and the program closing itself out. The work around that seems to work for me is running Open Canvas as Admin.

Specs: Windows 10 64 bit, 12 gigs of Ram, Intel Core i7 quad core 2.6 Ghz CPU, Nividia GTX 480 video card
