Report a translation problem
I edited it... the answer is "no mirroring in 5.5, not sure of 6... use f10 switch to draw a half an object/character well, then copy paste."
> Duplicate the layer.
> With Free Transform or right-clicking on the duplicated layer, do a horizontal flip.
> Align if necessary with Move Layer or Free Transform again (Use Shift+Drag to move in a straight line).
> Merge down into the original layer.
DONE!
Takes less time than it seems once you get the hang of it, and gives you more control than a straight-up mirror option, such as only mirrorring certain areas.
