XP-pen compatibility?
Recently I bought xp-pen star 03 and tried it with OpenCanvas6. Unfortunately dont seem to work together very well. OC6 keeps spamming me errors Control " has no parent.

I can load my images, I can even edit them. But I can do so until I plug in the tablet which essentially kills the point of having one. Quick forum search told me it may be driver-program incompatibility, but left me clueless on what to do.

Would you be so kind to point out what could I try in order to make it work? It's kind of a hassle to me to switch to another drawing program.

Currently Wacom and Huion are the only brands confirmed to work fine with OC, I'm afraid.

In other words, and without sugar-coating: ... you're f**ked.

Well, too bad there is no oher opinion on that. I've sent bugreport to portalgraphics, but I kinda doubt they would start resolving this issue.

It's peculiar, though, that their second product, Manga Labo, works damn fine with xp-pen. But manga labo is not my cup of tea. I guess i'll look towards open source, then. Krita looks promising and works out of the box.

Well i have the same problem with the XP-Pen 22e... As soon as i connect it to the computer, OC stops working and is giving errors about invalid pointer operation... (without the xp-pen it starts and works normally) ...

I think i have to use other software until this is resolved (if they ever resolve it)

I tried my XP-pen Star G430 in trial version of OC and its work fine with pressure sensivity on Windows 10. Try to change driver.

And i think driver depends from something else (Visual C++ redistributables? .NET Framework? the_hell_i_know_thirdware?). My tablet works fine in inkscape with pressure sensivity on one pc and refuses to work on another. Same OS, same inkscape version.

Nah. I'm done juggling drivers. I guess I'll wait for updates to see if the problem is fixed.
I'm using windows 8.1, btw.

Just to be sure this comment addressed at me: would it work with Star 03?

I think this driver supposed to work with all Star series tablets. Just remove old driver first and try.
You can also try to remove steam version of OC6 and download from official site standalone version to try (http://www.portalgraphics.net/en/oc/download/).
If it doesn't help then i dont know. Maybe its working only in 64bit Windows or something.

Standalone didn't validate steam key, so not really an option.
