but they are more like eve online as they are mostly only dealing in space not ground so wont be for everyone.
i am hyped for Dual Universe
but in time robocraft will get its act together or something batter will take its place. and that is a fact. it is only a matter of time.
Its still new so only 1 map and like 5 weapons. Has wheels, tank tracks, mech legs and hovers so far. Armour plating and some modules.
You have to destroy towers and repair them to rebuild it for your team then it generates points per second (resource based matches) first to 10k wins. Different towers give different buffs to team also.
Also these not even any real cash shop or anything.
here i even got a key for who ever wants to use it 80RP4-HYMFJ-2X7PE if its taken just goto website and answer a few questions and get ur own key
Dual Universe looks suprisingly good! Basically seems like Empyrion 2 or Space Engineers 2, lets just hope they will actually develop the game to the point where there's something worth doing in it. As for Avorion, i wouldnt really count it as an alternative to robocrap because destroying enemy ship piece by piece isnt really something that can influence gameplay. Building part is pretty much cosmetic by the time you get shields, really.
I saw D.R.O.N.E., seems decent but we still gotta wait until they actually make drone building possible, and in my case - until they make the game optimized enough to be playable. As for crossout, while it sure is better than robocrap, i long since stopped trusting gayjin games, usually they are INFURIATINGLY grindy.
This is by far the most Robocraft-like game we've got, and freaking hell, i wish i knew about their site earlier! Im gonna check it out ASAP.
I'm aware of the many issues it still has and working hard to solve them all and improve the game. I agree that matchmaking is the most important problem that needs to be addressed. I expect that during Early Access, when there will be more players, this will be much, much better.
By the way, just a question - how is optimiziation, and possibly mechs going? Last time i played the chainguns could tank my FPS to single digits when like, three or more people shot 5 of them at once. As for mechs, im just kinda curious when they will be accessible.
The game is working fast on i5 processors and better. On the slower there may happen drops when there is a lot going on in the battle. I don't know when you have recently played, but since optimizing the physics code I didn't have any complaints that the game is slowing down.
Mechs are going to be introduced when thay're polished from the gameplay point of view.
And then there is what you said, AKA absurd learning curve and the game being very laggy.
In the end, From the Depths may be a building game, but its a far cry from simple 4v4 team battles.
