You do not need 256mb of dedicated video ram to play at decent fps

I have an i5 m460 processor, 6gigs of ram, and the video card is the built in intel HD card which only has 64mb of dedicated video ram, and I can play this game at around at a steady 60fps, occasionally dropping down to 30fps in the large open areas.

how many fps do you get in kerbal space program (which uses the same game engine)?

what do you mean what do I expect? im just stating the fact that you can run this game fine without what they put in the minimal system requirements.

Of course ... most games will work on a Intel HD as long they have no problem with shared memory , the Intel HD 4000 and 4400 can use up to 1800 mb of system Ram as Video ram ... so they're not below the system requirment in some sense.

Dedicated graphics card? All I know is that this computer runs fine. Get an average 40 fps in slow-ish games, otherwise higher. In really slow games 30.

the geforce 6800 mentioned in this game requirment is very outdated ... even if it's a dedicated GPU (graphic card) it's still slow compared to a Recent Intel HD graphics.
