Why removed?

Why this game got removed from Steam Store ?

Howdy friend, like it has been said before, GEARCRACK Arena was an 1 year experiment. Once that year had been concluded I asked to remove it from Steam. People that have aquired it may keep it on their accounts.

Could you please bring it back for a day at it's old maximum discount ? I want to buy 100 copies of Gearcrack Arena, please ?

Hi there, I had it on Desura and I was happy with that so I didn't touch the Steam key. Now it looks like Desura's going down soon I thought I'd better redeem my Steam key only it seems you've disabled it. Even if you don't want to sell it any more, why did you disable the Steam keys of paying customers?

Howdy SirPrimalform, I haven´t disabled any key. If your key is not working you should contact who sent you that key or steamworks.

Well Steam's policy is contact the developer and I can't contact Desura because they're in the middle of going bankrupt. It seems to me that you removing it from the store killed the keys, but I could be wrong. I got the key from Desura, presumably you gave them the keys when you got on Steam?

If I provide you with proof of purchase, can you help me out? Desura's going out of business at the moment.

I gave 5000 keys to Desura as a courtesy, I charged nothing for it and they should had not charged you for that too. With the game removed from Steam, probably new activations may not be possible. If they charged you an extra for the Steam key, Desura should refund you for that extra charge.

They provided me the key as a courtesy as well, I didn't use it because I was happy with installing the game from Desura. They have now gone bankrupt so I decided to use my key so I can keep access to the game. Upon using the key Steam informs me that it's not even a Steam key. When I look for the game on the Store, it's not there and I eventually find my way to this topic. I assume that in removing the game from the store the keys got cancelled.
Desura cannot refund me, they are bankrupt (surprised that you didn't know given that your game is on there, there's been quite a bit in the news about them over the last couple of weeks).

I'm just asking if you can help a customer retain access. I'd be happy to provide whatever kind of proof of purchase you'd like (and I can send the key to you if you'd like so you can check that it's one of the ones you sent to Desura).

Probably not. At last the great majority of Desura Games have a DRM free install.exe version. Hope you can save your library that way, pal.

Why ? I really need a minimum of 20 copies.
Edit: I think the lowest price was 0,09€. So please make it happen so I can stock up on Gearcrack Arena.

Olá NordicHunter, GEARCRACK foi um minigame de Jam, de 72 horas. A idéia era a distribuição do mesmo por 1 ano. Concluído este prazo a remoção foi solicitada.
