[Spoilers] Can we talk about the oddities of Takumi's romantic life?
A pattern I've noticed in the game after checking out all the routes is that almost all of Takumi's potential love interests always seem to come with strange implications surronding them.

First of all: the rest of the students.

If we take what we learned in the true route at face value which is that all students have similar DNA which may or may not imply that they are siblings this sheds a different line on Takumi's affection towards the other characters, especially when you consider the fact that Takumi can decide to start a romantic relationship with three of the girls in the romance route.

I'm not sure if this is a case of the characters being unreliable narrators or..something else.

I have heard theories saying that the DNA cloning has been going on for long enough to the point where the students cannot be considered siblings among each other, and that Shion is more like their ancestors rather than father.

I still don't know what to think of that but I certainly don't like the idea of any Takumi x Student ship potentially being incest.

Second case: The Eva route.

In the wanderers ending, we see that Takumi has started a romantic relationship with Eva, so much so have gotten her pregnant in the process.

The issue here is: we learned througout this route that Eva already had a daughter, which implies that she might be considered an adult for the futurum species.

Now, here's the thing:

According to the JP script, when Eito presents himself at the start of the game he claims to be 17, and Takumi replies by saying he is of the same age as him, so Takumi si 17.

According to what I read online, Eva is supposedly 28 years old, which, from this point, I don't think it's necessary to explain what this implies.

I don't mean to be a moralist here but it's obvious that a romantic relationship between a high school teen and an adult woman might be seen as unhealthy for some.

So, to summarise, Takumi's options in terms of romantic partners are:

-The rest of the students, which according to some plot twist we discovered they might be seen as his siblings.
-An adult woman who has already had a daughter before meeting him.
-An evil warlord who is the sworn enemy of humanity.

When you consider all of these factors, Nozomi seems to be the only "healthy" partner for Takumi, given that she is the only character to not bring any weird implications if Takumi were to date her.

What are you guys thoughts on the matter?

Classic anime-styled relationship options. Nothing out of ordinary to see, really.

Definitely an ordinary relationship the one of dating an alien milf.

Nice.

Eva doesn't have a daughter, this is clarified in other routes, she ADOPTED her NIECE, but she uses "Daughter" as half a guilt tactic to keep herself alive, and half due to how close they are. It's also stated in game in one of the routes that she's about the same age as everyone else.

So basically there are inconsistencies in some routes? Oh, that explains a lot.

Is there also any other explanation for the DNA cloning?

Humanity made some DECISIONS to create a situation where the students are both firmly in the grasp of puberty and unaware that they are siblings. They probably set this up intentionally, as a prank. We must conclude, therefore; Eito was right.

A character lying isn't an inconsistency, it's a lie. Eva makes that lie in literally every route, it's just not in every route that it is revealed to be a lie. Half of the game is figuring out what is what based on information that is only given in specific routes.

As for the DNA cloning, it is what it is, they were cloned from Shion's DNA. They've obviously not exact clones, otherwise they'd all look identical and be the same sex. It's not stated how similar their DNAs are to each other, but aside from Ima/Kako, it's probably safe to assume that they were pretty diverse.
