The 'plot twist' of the game (spoilers)
I'm at work so I'll keep this brief before I forget about doing this when I get off. Dunno if it's been mentioned elsewhere but:

Plot twist of the game seems obvious that the ten characters are either revived after humanity already fell/the world they thought they lived in was all a VR game to nurture their different personalities. For what i don't know.

The strange room has ten non working pods in them. Ten protagonists. All show up randomly after being abducted by Sirei when in reality they were probably just pulled from the pods and set up to begin actual training.

That plus when you're going to find Sirei, you find him at a rather familiar looking place. The walkway Takumi and Karua fell from. Not only is this possibly long after humanity was mostly or completely wiped out but they're possibly inside of the TRC itself. As for why they don't recognize the surroundings when you Explore, im unsure. It could be possible everyone's VR experience of the TRC differed in layout based on records of the past?

Would also give credence to why the sadist girl said she fought off the invaders before but no one else has ever heard of such a thing happening.

What do you all think? I mightve missed something in-game that probably sinks the theory. I didn't do a full in depth lookaround when playing the demo.

These kind of games aren't that straight forward and they tend to use a lot of parrelllism+symbolism. I'm pretty sure darumi is supposed to fill that kind of 3rd wall character where she knows all the tropes. I think she already mentions something about an isekai in the demo. But more importantly this doesn't explain why, or where or what. OR how there would be a second to last defense academy with sirAY junior.
Never played a Danganronpa game or anything else by the dev/designer so I wouldn't know. It's just sort of the vibe I'm getting with all the info presented so far that it sorta seems like the twist is that simple albeit with some possible differences from what I guessed. Karua was never real.

If that were true, it would be Danganronpa 2 all over again.
Already done in previous Danganronpa.

I'm 99% sure they wouldn't want to retread such obvious ground. Red herring at best.

Indeed, that game had so many issues with the writing and logic, it soured me off the series.

Hopefully they keep it a bit more logical this time.
Just a bit longer and I guess we'll all see! lol. I won't be able to get the game at launch so I won't be able to see the twist for myself for a good minute.
