It's a collection mainly about the "Duel Monsters" series of games. (and a couple of handheld spin-offs)
These two aren't part of that.

That is actually INCORRECT.

For, while inside of America, it is called "Duelists of the Roses", in Japan, it is known as "Yu-Gi-Oh! True DUEL MONSTERS II: Inherited Memories.". In fact, Forbidden Memories is known as "Yu-Gi-Oh! True DUEL MONSTERS: Sealed Memories" in Japan.

So, therefore, they ARE part of the Duel Monster series. With the only real difference is their game mechanics.

If anything, the reason they are not in this pack is the game mechanics.

God how I'd love to have those on PC. Can't be arsed with virus and addridden emulator-stuff x) Those 2 are indeed the best YGO games :D
I do agree, those two were fantastic.

There's no ads on PCSX2 or DuckStation?

NGL It seems much more obvious that the reason they aren't included is because they were PS1/PS2 games, while everything in this pack is from Game Boy/Game Boy Advance.
Nothing to do with the mechanics of the individual games, or else they wouldn't have included Monster Capsule GB & Dungeon Dice Monsters.

Fam. Duckstation, PCSX2, and the Vimm Vault are -right there- available for you to use. If you're downloading roms from shady sites and using ♥♥♥♥♥♥ freemium emulators you are literally doing it wrong.

I did notice that too. Maybe Konami will come out with another collection for PS1-PS3 titles, etc. But this collection for $60 is absolutely unacceptable IMO. The physical form of these games are abandonedware and on top of that, none are particularly hard to find or rare or even worth more than $5USD iirc.

I felt the same way at first until I combed over the details on the store page a bit more. AFAIK a lot of the games in this pack are newly-translated (unless they had Asia-English releases back in the day, or are just using fanslations?), and Duel Monsters 4 now has online play, with the announcement that "other titles will have online play added after release".

I'm personally still gonna wait until a $25-30ish sale, but imo they seem to have done/be doing enough to justify the base price.

But yeah, here's hoping we get a collection of the home console games eventually!

Non Forbiden Memories and no Nightmare Troubadour.
That's a shame!

Yes, the operative word here being "Shin / True". It denotes a new sub series.
It's the same reason why in Japan, Koei's Dynasty Warriors series is a number behind the international release.
What is Dynasty Warriors and Dynasty Warriors 2 in the west was Dynasty Warriors and *Shin* Dynasty Warriors in Japan.

60 is not enough, they want you to purchase the next collection :)
It's good that Forbidden Memories isn't included, otherwise I'd probably destroy my computer within a few minutes.
