DMII Stage 5 Opponents

I've completed DMII and beaten all of the base characters; it appears there are 4 characters that can appear after beating the "final" boss, but there's a 3/4096 chance after each duel that the Stage 5 (1/4 randomly chosen characters) changes after each duel. The achievement for this title requires that you beat all 4, though.

Is the intended strategy to just keep dueling until you randomly, hopefully get each of the 4 to appear over thousands of duels? Are there passwords that can be used to change which Stage 5 character is available that anyone is aware of?

Use the Stage 5 selection cheat before starting the game, it's much easier than dueling until you get a Stage 5 change.

If you back out to the game selection screen, you can use cheats (i think they call them "enhancements") and one of them for dm2 is choosing your dark stage opponent. You can use that to cycle them and it will give you the achievement after defeating each one once. Afterwards, you can just set it to whoever it started out with for you and disable the cheat if you want the "original" experience
