Usually you can solve the problem by upgrading your laptop.
Can you please tell us specifics of your laptop?
Key is to meet minimal requirements.
You can find them at the page of the game in Steam Store.
Overly low specifications will result in bad performance, such as yours.
Update me with new information as soon as possible so i can assist you with this issue.
But yeah, sure specs:
Intel Core i5-4200 CPU @ 2.50 Ghz processor.
8GB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M graphics
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 BIt processor
193GB of free space on my hard drive.
So care to take back your silly assumption that my laptop must suck? Sheesh, even the 3 year old laptop this one replaced could play this game.
Though it has seemed to have improved since Steam updated itself today, haven't had it do a thing since that update, so maybe it was the Steam client itself being wonky.
Update: 5.13.15
Just reloaded the game on my Win 7 computer and it is running albeit slightly laggy. Finally I can get the achievements! Thanks developers.
Am running win 10 on a surface pro 4
requested a refund...
i5, 8gb ram, GTX 960, Win10
edit to say looks like the same thing happens on The Treasures of Montezuma 3 for me also :(
