There is absolutly nothing new really and just looks like another early access scam.
The devteam said they are going to roll out updates every 2 weeks however the first updates are very poor this far and it remains to be seen just how serious they are about bringing this game back.
I hope this is a joke post? OP Go to SI Games forums to see what has changed. The 2007 games has been rewritten and is being updated every 2 weeks by the team. They said themselvs that given the support for the game is still there then it will be out of early access in 'months not years' The game is 100% playable so don't be put off with early access in the name. It's missing some playable leagues and some of the more extreme rules are working yet but they are being fixed (just check the two updates they've released already' If you liked 2007 you will this version too.
- Graphical playoff tree for viewing playoff stages
- Skin graphics for attributes on player and non-player profiles
- New AI for evaluating the overall roster changes in trades
- All new database format that will offer better support for customisation in the future
- Support for historical databases (historical 2006 database provided)
- Support for rookie goals/assists/points records in record config
- New attribute modelling with support for player role types
- New player and non-player progression modelling
- Separate host nations for different stages of a competition (World Championships Div 1 groups)
- Host cities for tournaments
- Tournament host announcement news
- Tracking of match penalties separate from game misconducts based on the severity of the offense
- Improved league selection options with the ability to select leagues down to wanted level or individual independent leagues where possible
- Support for new all-star game format with team captains picking the two teams
- AI GM's now have a patience rating in trades when human is setting up a trade offer and will not give dynamic feedback endlessly on proposals
- New skin
- Improved UI layout with new player and non-player profile screens
- Integrated tutorial system for key screens in the game
- New nation information screen with links to top leagues, clubs and players
- Added option to export player stats from any comp in csv format (regular season and playoff stats)
- Added a "scout recommendations" view on the scout's player list panel to show current and future star ratings
- Option to hide all attribute values for added challenge
- Show Boxscores screen to control which daily boxscores to display
- New zoomed-in 2D view for playing/viewing games
Hope this helps.
Actually he linked you to a page that shows all the changes.
Give people a break. This version was done by Risto Remes almost solely. It's a miracle we have this game at all.
Agreed; this version shouldn't even exist, let alone contain substantial additions.
EHM was cancelled over a decade ago. A few years later, license activation issues forced them to cease selling the game altogether. The EHM fanbase was now forever limited to anyone who already owned a copy of the game and could activate their license.
Then Riz stepped in. In his free time, he: A) brought the game to Steam; and B) made significant unseen changes to allow the amount of data editing we're enjoying today. Without him, some of us would still be running our dusty eSellerate copies of EHM 2007. And the rest of you would be unaware it ever existed.
