Could we get SOME semblence of modern controls?

These controls have been outdated since even the original Hard Time which is almost 20 years old now. Please just let us use proper modern controls. Proper mouse camera aiming, shift to sprint, left and right mouse for attacks and what not.

I played the original Hard Time 15 years ago, it felt outdated then (controls wise) and it feels outdated now.

Some people like the simplicity of the aki style controls. It's also part of the comedy. This is not a real game. The controls are the least of the awful things in the game.

It's not so bad. I would understand switching the taunt and camera buttons but other than that, it's pretty in line for wrestling games.

I love mcdickie games. But it does really feel like the controls should be updated.
The camera is ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Having to switch to the mouse just to adjust it on the go is really obnoxious.
Maybe with steam workshop implementation, there could be some mods for controls

honestly this is whats stopping me from playing the game because arrow keys is just weird to use these days and the camera constantly zooms out when moving the camera

You're on steam, the controls can be changed. There is a community layout that already swaps the d-pad and right stick.

the controls are the most annoying part about these games, especially when you've been grappled. sometimes you're just stuck being held by some moron for like 30 seconds or longer and you're totally helpless, they really need to bring back the steam workshop because these problems were fixed by mods in wrestling empire.

I also had the camera get stuck in front of a concrete wall where i couldn't see my character, and i had to reload the game to reorient the camera. really stupid.

It 100% can. Right click the game in your library, "Properties," "Controller," then click the text that says "Controller Configuration" in there. Can't swap it in-game, but Steam lets you remap every button the controller, which is more than most games allow you to remap in-game.
