Problem running Toy Story 3?

I noticed Disney must have struck up a deal with Steam and bought Toy Story 3 off of here. Once installed I got all excited to play, hit run game and within seconds instead of the game opening I got a blank command prompt that immediately turned grey and it displayed the "Game Application has stopped working". It does this EVERY single time I attempt to run the game. I have tried running it in compatibility modes, as Administrator (it already starts up as Admin by default anyway) and so far no luck. Anyone got a fix or similar problem?

omygosh it works for like 10mins and then it crashes again, why does this happen? is there anything else I can get off that website that might help with that? I really wanna play this game D:

if you go into your event vewier its some sort of kernal error i was getting support from disney interactive on the matter but they just stopped replying. its odd because the game sometimes will launch for no reason but 99 percent of the time its wont launch

Hey guys, so i found a fix but it kinda sucks, you need to download and install Games for Windows live, it sucks but its better than not having it work at all. Here's the link http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/pc/downloadclient

I know , i hate using no dvd patches ect , prefer to have it via steam, and in manhunt 2 case amazon digital download :( Disney needs to fix this.

Well it worked but the Steam store claims full controller support, however the version from the fix above does not support a controller! I got this for my kids to play and now I am very dissapointed by Steam for allowing such a broken game onto their site.

There is NO reason for this game not to work. I had originally picked it up ages ago in digital format via Amazon. It works fine. To make things easier for my kids, I installed this version when I picked up the bundle (when it came out on Steam). The Steam version is indeed broken. It is NOT simply because it is a digital version. My digital version that came from an Amazon download worked flawlessly. Whatever the issue is, this is inexcusable.
